I would like to welcome you all to the official Bansko Sun Ski blog on behalf of the team.
Our mission (and we have chosen to accept it!) is as follows:
“To share the natural and cultural wonders of Bansko and its people with the world and to ensure prospective visitors have ample resources to plan all aspects of their vacation”
After visiting Bansko in Feb 2007, it is fair to say we all fell in love with Bansko. As we had never been skiing in Eastern Europe, we were all a bit hesitant at first. This trip meant departing from the familiar Western European ski resorts where we had previously had great ski holidays and pretty good skiing. All of the stories about the new infrastructure, great snow and (very) cheap food and accommodation finally enticed us to check it out. The travel agent told us 'for the price of a ski vacation in France, you could have 4 vacations in Bansko'. Well, of course we were skeptical, but the fact that it wasn't going to cost us much reduced our risk! We went to Bansko and ended up having a ball! So we have embarked on a journey to educate the west about the pleasures that can be found in Bansko!
Our goal is to collect all of the information and contact details which can help you organize a ski or summer vacation to Bansko. We think we have done this now and are currently putting it all together on our website: http://www.banskosunski.com/.
So stay in touch, we have much more to tell you! Our site will be used to create a detailed resource for you to use, while this blog will diarize our journey to research, document and share all of the leisure Bansko has to offer!
